The installer sets up Librescoot from scratch or upgrades an existing system. It downloads firmware and map data, prepares the MDB and DBC, and guides you through the installation. The scooter then finishes the process itself. You need a USB cable, a screwdriver and about twenty minutes.
Changes to your scooter are at your own risk. Errors remain possible despite extensive testing; Librescoot provides no warranty and accepts no liability. Work carefully and allow enough time. The Installer takes precautions and can handle or repair most errors. In the worst case, the scooter may be unusable without further intervention. Need help? Reach out on Discord.
The Windows build is not yet code-signed. If SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
Firmware Updates
Since Librescoot 1.2, you can install updates easily with the stasis for unu app (Android / iOS). For updates from older systems or a change of release channel, you can use the firmware files below, for example via Update Mode. The Librescoot Installer also supports installing updates while preserving your data.
Stable Recommended
The right choice for most people. Stable, complete and tested for everyday use.
Testing
A preview of the next release. Usually stable, but may still contain bugs or be incomplete.
Nightly
For developers only. There are no guarantees; bugs may leave your scooter unusable.
Map & Routing Data
Choose your region for offline maps and routing data. Each includes about 20 km of surrounding area. For manual installation, copy both files over USB in Update Mode; only one region can be installed at a time. See the offline navigation guide.
